Join me at Summerfields Miniature Railways on Wednesday 12th August 2026 between 11:00am and 12:00pm to celebrate the 19th anniversary of the SideTracked Series.
The event will take place at Hammer Hill Junction picnic area, which can be reached by miniature railway along the Summerfield Line from Haynes End Station. Trains will depart from 10:30 am. It is also possible to walk the path alongside the railway track for approximately 400m to reach the event location. After alighting the train at Hammer Hill Junction use the green bridge to cross the railway tracks to reach the picnic area. CARS MUST BE PARKED AT HAYNES END STATION, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO PARK AT HAMMER HILL JUNCTION, please do not try! Please see the waypoint for the field car park.
THERE ARE NO FACILITIES AT HAMMER HILL JUNCTION WHERE THE EVENT TAKES PLACE, though there are options to purchase food and drink, and toilets, near the car park at Haynes End, please see waypoints for exact locations. You are also welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks, though not a requirement.
From the event location at Hammer Hill Junction, you will have the option of taking a ride on the Springfield Line from platform 2, and the Winterfield Line from platform 3. We will also be able to watch the Garden Line in operation. There is a small charge for each train journey, cashless payments preferred.

Unfortunately, the event is not wheelchair friendly, due to the 11 steps up and down the bridge over the railway tracks. This is an outdoor event without shelter. There is no guarantee that the trains will run if the weather is inclement.
