Jugger ir ātrs kontakta sporta veids, kas apvieno dzinējregbija (tag rugby) un paukošanas elementus. Iedvesmojoties no 1989. gada postapokaliptiskās filmas "The Salute of the Jugger" (jeb "The Blood of Heroes"), 90. gadu sākumā Vācijā tas izveidojās par organizētu sporta veidu un mūsdienās tiek spēlēts visā pasaulē.
Kā tiek spēlēta spēle
- Mērķis: Divas komandas piecu spēlētāju sastāvā sacenšas par punktu gūšanu, novietojot bumbu ("Jugg") pretinieku komandas "goalā" (putu materiāla piltuve nošķelta konusa formā ar caurumu vidū).
- Spēlētāji: Četri spēlētāji ("Cīnītāji" jeb Enforcers) ir bruņojušies ar speciāli izgatavotiem, polsterētiem ieročiem ("Pompfen"), lai bloķētu pretiniekus un aizstāvētu savu laukuma pusi. Piektais spēlētājs ("Ātrais" jeb Quick, arī skrējējs) ir neapbruņots un ir vienīgais, kuram ir atļauts fiziski turēt bumbu un ar to gūt punktus.
- Spēles norise un laika atskaite: Mači ir sadalīti raundos, kuru tempu diktē bungas, kas sit ik pēc 1,5 sekundēm. Kad spēlētājam pieskaras ar polsterēto ieroci, viņš ir "trāpīts", un viņam uz noteiktu bungu sitienu ("stounu") skaitu ir jānotupstas uz ceļiem un jāpārtrauc dalība spēlē, pirms viņš var atgriezties laukumā.
- Bumba: Bumba ("Jugg") tradicionāli ir veidota tā, lai atgādinātu galvaskausu, un katra raunda sākumā tā atrodas spēles laukuma centrā.

Jugger is a fast-paced contact sport combining elements of tag rugby and fencing. Inspired by the 1989 post-apocalyptic film The Salute of the Jugger (or The Blood of Heroes), it evolved into an organized sport in Germany in the early 1990s and is now played globally.
How the Game is Played
- Objective: Two teams of five players compete to score points by placing a ball (the "Jugg") in the opposing team's goal (a foam funnel in the form of a truncated cone and has a hole
in the center).
- The Players: Four players ("Enforcers") wield custom padded weapons ("Pompfen") to block opponents and defend their turf. The fifth player ("Quick" or runner) is unarmed and is the only player allowed to physically hold and score with the ball.
- Gameplay & Timing: Matches are broken into rounds dictated by a drum that beats every 1.5 seconds. When a player is tagged by a padded weapon, they are "hit" and must kneel out of the action for a set number of drumbeats (stones) before returning.
- The Ball: The Jugg is traditionally designed to resemble a skull and sits in the center of the pitch at the start of every round.
