Wisconsin manufactures the most fire trucks in the United States, driven heavily by Appleton-based Pierce Manufacturing, the country's largest fire apparatus builder, and Rev Group's (a part of Terex Corp) emergency vehicle division headquartered in Milwaukee which include E-ONE, Ferrara, KME, and Spartan Emergency Response.
The American fire truck manufacturing industry is heavily concentrated in a few additional states also, including South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and Florida. However, one of Wisconsin's claim to fame is that they lead the nation in production volume of fire trucks.
