The first Methodist chapel opened in Kehelland in 1930 and was a traditional small rectangular structure commonly seen throughout cornish towns and villages. In 1891 a larger chapel was opened next door, looking more like a small anglican church. While the chapel continues to hold seasonal worship and special services such as Midsummer, Harvest and Christmas, and rites of passage (christenings, weddings and funerals) by special arrangement, its main function is now as the Kehalland Community Hub, providing rentable spaces for a range of events. In 2000, the two chapels were joined together and the pews removed to give a larger, more usable space. The pulpit and organ were retained.
The building is also the HQ of the well-known Holman-Climax Male Voice Choir.
