Dobrodošli v Trnovem, zelenem kotičku Ljubljane. Razprostira se jugozahodno od znamenitega Ljubljanskega gradu, ob levem bregu reke Ljubljanice. Tradicionalni predeli Trnova so Kolezija, Krakovo, Mirje, Kern, Mestni Log, Gmajna, Rakova Jelša in Sibirija.
V Trnovem je prebival mednarodno uveljavljeni arhitekt Jože Plečnik, ki je najbolj poznan po načrtih Tromostovja, ljubljanskih Žal, ljubljanske tržnice, oblikoval pa je tudi cerkveno opremo.
Območje Trnovo je poznano tudi po cerkvi sv. Janeza Krstnika, znano kot Trnovska cerkev, pred katero je pesnik France Prešeren prvič srečal svojo ljubezen Julijo Primic. Ob pročelju Trnovske cerkve stoji most čez potok Gradaščica, ki je eden redkih v Evropi, na katerem uspeva drevje. Jedro stare naselbine je bilo ob potoku Gradaščici in je sorazmerno dobro ohranjeno ob Eipprovi ulici. Ta ulica je tudi najbolj slikovita in pritegne največ obiskovalcev. Tukaj je zasajen drevored starih kostanjev ob katerem je več gostinskih ponudnikov.

Welcome to Trnovo, the green corner of Ljubljana. It stretches southwest of the famous Ljubljana Castle, on the left bank of the Ljubljanica River.
Trnovo was the home of the internationally renowned architect Jože Plečnik, who is best known for his plans for the Triple Bridge, Ljubljana's Žal, Ljubljana Market, and he also designed church furnishings.
The Trnovo area is also known for the church of St. Anthony. John the Baptist, known as the Trnovo Church, in front of which the poet France Prešeren first met his love Julia Primic. Along the façade of the Trnovo Church, there is a bridge over the Gradaščica stream, which is one of the few in Europe where trees grow. The core of the old settlement was located along the Gradaščica stream and is relatively well preserved along Eipprova Street. This street is also the most picturesque and attracts the most visitors. A row of old chestnut trees is planted here, along which there are several catering providers.
