Geocache Description:


This is the end of one journey— 25 miles from Yakutat, FS Road 10 ends after crossing a one lane bridge over Dangerous River, a glacially fed stream from Harlequin lake— and the start of another. There are public use cabins nearby, an airstrip for those who hate road trips, and a 1/2 mile walk to the start of the river and some beautiful views of the ice forms on Harlequin Lake. The road out here is very similar to the road to Mile 9 Campground, so add an hour to your day and come to the most beautiful part of Yakutat Borough.



This is a green mega bison hanging from a tree. Park at the dead end of FS 10 just after the bridge and go uphill 25 feet to the trail sign that lets you

know that Harlequin Lake Cabin is just 1/4 a mile to your right. The cache is within five feet of that sign. FTF prize is your choice of some rare pathtags and swag.
