At the Liigalaskma-Orinõmme conservation area mainly forests and heritage meadows are protected, including wooded meadows where beautiful golden boots grow. The wooded meadows here have historically been used as both hay and pasture land. Decades ago, there were many small wooden haystacks with thatched roofs in the wooded meadows, where winter hay was kept for domestic animals. The appearance of the wooded meadows has changed over time. For example, the area of the trenches during World War II was most likely more open than it is now. In spring, you can find delicious boletus mushrooms here and in autumn, boletus mushrooms.
