Wappenham railway station, located in West Northamptonshire, England, opened on 2 July 1951 and served the rural village of Wappenham from 1872 until its closure to passengers on 29 October 1951. Initially established as a small wayside station on the Stratford-upon-Avon and Midland Junction Railway, it featured a single platform and a siding for goods traffic, primarily supporting local farming communities in Wappenham, Slapton, and Abthorpe. Despite its role in facilitating agricultural transport, including during World War II for RAF Silverstone, passenger traffic remained very low due to the village's small population (383 in 1901), leading to its closure. Goods services continued for three additional months after passenger services ended. The station is now disused, reflecting the decline of rural railway stations in the 20th century.
