About SideTracked Caches
This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It’s a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website
Just a short walk from Ingleburn Station, the event will be held in a small park which honours our veterans. It has a few seats and is next to the local bowling club. It is short walk to the hospitality wonders of Ingleburn, just over the line. Off street parking is next to the park.
Ingleburn station is an important part of the history of Ingleburn. The station opened on 19 August 1883 and was the link to the rest of Sydney and local settlement spread from here. The shopping centre and other commercial activity is on the eastern side of the line. Some old shops can be seen on the western side but after the level crossing was removed they were less popular.
The series was created on August 10, 2007, when geocachers schnarff and bikermel76 hid the first official cache in the series at Evesham railway station in the United Kingdom. Australia has the second largest collection of SideTracked caches after the United Kingdom so here is another opportunty to increase your finds.
