Plans are always evolving and changing as I am given new ideas to make this CITO a success. Please check back and read the whole description frequently for those great ideas!!!
**note** when logging a WILL ATTEND please let me know if you plan to be a walker, bike rider or ATV rider. This will help me map out a plan.
While planning a trip to Anchorage, Alaska, I saw this very interesting bike trail. I immediately checked into renting ebikes and researched the trail. I also found out that due to circumstances, all of these caches will be archived within two days after my visit. I messaged all of the COs and asked how I can help to keep these alive! It just isn't going to happen, therefore, this CITO has been created to remove the geo-litter that will be left after the archiving.
We will meet in the parking lot at 7:45am and be ready to hit the trail at 8:45am. The earlier you get to the posted coords, the easier it will be to organize who will go to which caches and tackle the trail. We will have 3 groups that will search for and collect containers and the attaching wire; the walkers, the bike riders and the ATV riders. The walkers will start at the parking lot and retrieve all of the containers they can from #2-30. The bikers will do #31 - 70 and the ATV riders will go to the end and collect those while working backwards. You will need to bring wire clippers to cut the wire attached to the tree and a bag or backpack to carry them in. If you have an ATV or UTV, please bring it. The ATV trailer parking is across the street from the event posted coords.
Anyone who isn't able to ride a bike or walk the trail, may claim this CITO by picking up trash around the parking area and as far as they can from the parking lot area. If you arrive after we leave the parking lot, feel free to catch up with us. There will be groups all along the trail. The more the merrier!!! And safety in numbers!!
You will need to bring: your mode of transportation, wire clippers, a bag or backpack to put containers and wire in, lunch, drinks, snacks, bear spray if you have it (you guys know better than I), raingear and trash grabbers. I will bring trashbags.
We will meet back at the parking lot for a picture and log signing party. If there are any containers left on the trail, I plan to go back out to retrieve as many as I can. If anyone wants to stay and help with that endeavor, I will GREATLY APPRECIATE the help! My goal is to have ALL of this geolitter removed when I leave for the day. I'm told this whole endeavor could take many hours to complete. If you have walkie talkies, please bring those also so we can remain in contact with groups on the trail. Please plan to be here for a good part of the day.
I love to host CITOs!
I love giving back to this Earth that gives us a play area to enjoy!

Trash will be disposed of in proper recepticles.
Please spread the word and invite other cachers!!! The more people we have, the more successful this CITO will be!!!
