Geocache Description:

Learn about the details of the
2026 Alaska State Parks Geocaching Permit

Hosted by NorthWes (Wes Skinner) and GeocacheAlaska! Inc. at Dimond Blvd Baptist Church.
(note - the geocaching map erroneously labels this location as Eagle River Baptist Church - just a slight mapping label error!). The street address is 3616 W Dimond Blvd, on the south side of Dimond Blvd just one block east of the intersection of Jewel Lake and Dimond (where McDonald's is located).

GeocacheAlaska! is presenting the details of the 2026 Alaska State Parks Geocaching Permit.
Of course, you've most likely seen the emails, links to our forum, and social media posts regarding how this year's permit has several significant changes from prior years' permits. However, one of the best ways to develop a precise understanding of the permit's revised terms and conditions is to show up for this in-person presentation where you'll have a chance to chime in with questions of your own as we showcase the permit's requirements. You'll learn how to become involved in implementing the changes required under this new permit as well.

Permit information is posted in detail on GeocacheAlaska! Inc's forum
in the 2026 Alaska State Park Permit thread, viewable online at this LINK.

Please understand that one of GeocacheAlaska! Inc.'s primary missions is advocacy - gaining permission to play the geocaching game across our great state of Alaska.  The U.S. federal government and the State of Alaska collectively own about 85% to 90% of all land in Alaska, with a wide variety of agencies responsible for land management within specified boundaries. As part of GeocacheAlaska! Inc's education mission, we're presenting permit details at this eduvent regarding cachers' permission to place geocaches on Alaska State Park lands, which is the fruit of many months of conversation back and forth with park management officials. There are significant changes to this permit from the ones GeocacheAlaska! Inc. has received in the past, which will be the focus of this education event.

Please post a will-attend log so we're ready to host you in good fashion at this Eduvent!
