Join Geocaching Queensland as we mark International Geocaching Day 2026 with a morning of great company, geocaching stories, and plenty of cache talk. Whether you're chasing the International Geocaching Day 2026 souvenir, catching up with old friends, meeting fellow geocachers for the first time, or simply looking for an excuse to get out and celebrate our favourite hobby, everyone is welcome.
Venue: Perren Family Park, Bli Bli
The Plan: Meet at 9:30am (there is a regular event in the same location at 9:00am GCBTD41) at the coordinates for a quick welcome and discussion about which areas we'll be targeting. We will have rubbish bags, disposable gloves for everyone there and a limited supply of grabbers to borrow for the event. At 9:35am we'll spread out collecting rubbish throughout, Perrin park, the nearby bushland extending up to the top around the lagoons and sports fields, before returning at 10:25am for a final rubbish gathering, group photo, and wrap-up. Every piece of rubbish collected makes a difference, and this is a great opportunity to give back to the community.
As we will be transporting the rubbish away from the site we do ask that larger items that cannot fit inside a rubbish bag are not collectedat this time and instead reported to council.
