About the Peak
Cristallo di Mezzo is a majestic peak reaching 3,150 meters above sea level. It is located in the famous Cristallo massif just northeast of Cortina d'Ampezzo. The most common way to reach this airy summit is via the famous and thrilling Via Ferrata Marino Bianchi, which starts near the Forcella Staunies. From the top, you can enjoy a stunning 360-degree view of the surrounding peaks, including the famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
About the Cache
The cache is a small PET tube hidden just a few meters behind the summit ridge, close to a small, beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary (Madonna) looking over the climbers and guarding the mountains.
- Warning: This is a high-altitude alpine cache. You need proper via ferrata equipment, solid mountaineering skills, and good weather conditions to log this cache safely! Please return the container exactly as you found it and close it properly.
