I was kayaking a section of the Nonquon River recently and came across a bottle with a rolled-up piece of paper in it.
The paper was quite damp and there were letters showing through. Although I tried to be careful when unrolling it, I could see that it wasn’t going to last long so I spread it out on the bow of my kayak and took a photo.
Sure enough, when I tried to peel it back up, the paper disintegrated into a sodden mess.
While the secret message could turn out to be something innocuous like “be sure to drink your Ovaltine”, I’m hoping it is a clue to fabulous treasure. What do you think?
