C.J. Chapple (1913 - 1982) was a prominent haulage and removal contractor in Kingaroy. He is best remembered for his active role in the local South Burnett community, operating Chapple's Transport and undertaking significant building relocation projects. The two listed below building relocations are explicitly preserved in South Burnett regional history:
Googaguga State School Building: In June 1952, Chapple successfully applied to the Nanango Shire Council for permission to physically relocate the entire schoolhouse building following the closure of the rural school.
World War II Army Disposal Study Hut No. 154: Following the war, local business owners Alfred and Charles Boisen bought the Study Hut, located at the Kingaroy aerodome. In June 1947, they paid Chapple's haulage firm to transport the large structure from the airfiled to Wondai, where is was permanently attached to the rear of Boisen's Drapery Store on Haly Street to serve as a showroom expansion for mattresses and floor coverings.
It is also noted that his motorised plant equipment was frequently contracted by the local parishes and civic groups to move timber chapels, community halls, and farm outbuildings between developing townships.
