Welcome to the third installment of the Geo-Golf event. This year's course is the longest one yet, rivaling that of the famed golf course at Torrey Pines--South! It's another "1-club" event.
The only club you'll need is a gps or a smart phone with gps capability. We'll play 9 holes scattered over a walking loop of approximately 1.6 km. The path is paved with elevation changes as you walk the course, so be prepared for the distance and terrain!

Please arrive promptly at 10:00 am to receive your scorecard and an explanation of the rules. You can play as a single or in twosomes. First tee time is 10:10 am. All you need to do is walk and mark. Each hole will have a flag stick in place. Make your way to the flag and mark the spot on your gps. Record either the last three digits of the latitude or longitude as indicated on your score card.
I will have a master list of "par" score for each hole. The most accurate golfer or team will be the Champion! Complete the 9-hole loop and turn your score card in for verification.
If you happen to have an iowaPete signature golf tee, you might wanna bring it to the event for a small scoring bonus!
In the event of a tie, there will be two tiebreakers. The player/team that matches the most holes EXACTLY to par will be the Champion. For the second tiebreaker, I will provide a set of coordinates and the players will "Plant a Flag" where they think that might be. Closest to the pin wins.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Links!
