This reserve is well worth taking the time to explore. It features a playground with slides for a range of ages, a fully off-leash dog area, and grassy slopes that are ideal for a bit of cardboard sliding if conditions are right.
If you're visiting in early January, keep an eye out for the hidden plum tree lower in the reserve—it produces an impressive crop of fruit each summer.
If you're searching for this cache, don't expect to stay on the main paths the whole time. The final approach requires a short wander off the beaten track, where nature has left behind a few interesting features that are worth a closer look. Geocachers with a keen eye for old timber should feel right at home.
The path then continues to a boardwalk that winds through the marshy section of the reserve, and leads down to The Pink Dairy and St Lukes Mall - if you're caching with a canine companion, be aware that the marsh has a habit of attracting dogs that enjoy muddy adventures, so you may leave with a dirtier dog than you arrived with!
