One of the very first geocachers we met after discovering this hobby was Jackie from the Rocky Glen Grommets. Jackie was from Minlaton and, after a courageous battle with cancer, sadly passed away. She now rests here in the Minlaton Cemetery.
If Jackie were still with us today, we have no doubt she would have been one of the first people in line to attend this weekend's events. This Cache In Trash Out (CITO) is our way of making sure she is still a part of the weekend and remembering the friendship and enthusiasm she brought to the geocaching community.
Together, let's give the Minlaton Cemetery a quick clean-up as our way of leaving the Yorke Peninsula a little better than we found it, while also paying tribute to one of our fellow geocachers and friends. We hope you'll join us in honouring Jackie's memory through an act of service that reflects the spirit of the geocaching community.
We will provide bags and disposable gloves for the clean up please bring what ever else you may require for the event.
As with all events over the weekend we will have a few prizes to give away and you will gain an entry in the weekends raffle.
