As the last one went so well, I thought I would host another picnic event in Hadleigh Country Park. If the weather is helpful, we will have lovely views over the estuary. If it isn't helpful, there's a cafe to shelter in. Also, I am heading to Australia and New Zealand in September, so feel free to bring TBs that want to travel.
Where: Hadleigh Country Park, by one of the benches - look out for our caching flag.
When: 12:00 - 2:00pm
Facilities: nearby there are toilets and a cafe, as well as a playground, cycling tracks and geocaches!
Getting there: there is plenty of parking at the country park, but you have to pay. You can also park on the approach streets, or in the supermarket car park (3 hour limit) for free - about 15 minutes walk away. Buses frequently go along London Road / A13 (15 minutes walk), or you can take a train to Benfleet Station and walk up through the country park (about 45 minutes)
What to bring: just yourselves! If you want, you can bring a chair or blanket and a picnic (or buy supplies at the cafe).
What to expect: lots of chat about caching, including hints for my caches in the area! There will probably be some trackables to swap / discover. If I'm really organised, there might even be a new adventure lab by the castle, which you can walk (20 minutes) or drive (6 minutes) to.
