The Gateway Plaza Fanfare Fountain is located at the north end of the Harbor Blvd Parkway adjacent to the Los Angeles World Cruise Center. The fountain does a water display to a song on a set schedule that is posted nearby. It really is a stunning display, especially at night as the lights and music create a nice ambiance. I wasn't aware of the music when I first visited the fountain, so it was a pleasant surprise when I heard a song start and saw the fountain start moving with the music!
Also in this location is an old Red Car trolley platform. The train isn't in use anymore, but there are trolleybuses that run on weekends connecting many of San Pedro's key attractions.
As for the cache, it is not in plain sight but it should not be hard to find. Enjoy!
