Tokratna Čista obala bo malo drugačna. Če te zanima, beri naprej.
Čista obala se tudi tokrat vrača 3. soboto v septembru. Sezona naredi svoje in na koncu se različne organizacije zberemo se po celem svetu, da počistimo obalo od smeti. Tudi tokrat se zberemo na koordinatah, vpišemo v dnevnik, opremimo in gremo v akcijo. Posebnost te akcije sta dve. Prva je popisovanje: vsako leto popišemo čisto vse smeti in primerjamo rezultate s preteklimi leti. Druga pa je, da čistilna akcija poteka v morju in na kopnem.
Organizacija dela:
- Kopenska ekipa: tisti, ki pobirajo smeti na obali, se bodo razdelili v dve skupini (če bo udeležencev dovolj): ena skupina bo šla od Piranske cerkve proti Fiesi, ena pa bo šla od Fiese proti Piranski cerkvi. Nekje na sredini se dobimo in vrnemo na izhodišče.
- Snorkl ekipa: tisti, ki bodo pobirali smeti v morju, morajo s sabo prinesti dihalko, kopalke in po želji plavutke. Nato gredo v morje in pobirajo smeti iz morskega dna. POMEMBNO: pobirate smeti samo tako globoko, kolikor dosežete s potopom. Preizkušanje svojih sposobnosti zaradi smeti ni vredno rizika.
- Najkasneje ob 11:00 uri se zberemo vsi na zbirnem mestu s plenom.
Po akciji bo afterparty v Strunjanu, kjer se bomo vsi, ki bomo sodelovali v akciji, malo podružili, pomalicali in spoznali kaj novega.

Čista obala bo tokrat del svetovnega geocacherskega projekta "CITO Across the World".
Že slišim vprašanja:
"Kaj je to?"
"V čem je fora?"
"Kdo se je to spomnil?"
"A moraš spet nekaj pametovati, da moramo kao dodatno brati, med tem ko bi radi samo čistili?"
...
Na kratko o tej ideji: pred približno dvema letoma je georeyna (geolovec iz Houstona) postavil vprašanje: "Kaj pa, če bi se geocacherji en dan združili in naredili Texas čistejši?" Dokaj enostavno vprašanje, na podlagi katerega je "Texas Geocaching Association (TXGA)" na "Svetovni dan čiščenja" objavila event "CITO across Texas".
Rezultat med letom 2024 in 2025:
- Po celem Texasu je bilo organizirano preko 50 CITO eventov
- Sodelovalo je preko 700 prostovoljcev
- Odstranjeno je bilo preko več kot 1000 kg odpadkov iz parkov, poti, voda, sosesk in ostalih javnih površin
Tako so se v letu 2026 odločili, da bodo šli korak dlje in povabili geocachersko skupnost iz celega sveta, da se 19.9.2026 združijo v skupni akciji "CITO Across the World". In Slovenija bo s tem CITO eventom del te akcije.
A sem na vse odgovoril? No, še časovnica:
9:00 - 9:15 zbiranje, vpis v dnevnik
9:15 - 9:30 navodila, razdelitev v skupine, razdelitev rokavic in vreč
9:30 - 11:00 pobiranje
11:00 - vrnitev na zbirno mesto, slikanje in odhod v Strunjan na afterparty
Rokavice in vreče priskrbimo mi. Snorkl ekipa rabi svojo masko, kopalke in plavutke. Dobro voljo prinesite vsi.
V času akcije bo možno dobiti tudi parkirne dovolilnice. Ko se pripeljete, pridete do organizatorja in poveste, da rabite dovolilnico. Nato jo odnesete do svojega avta in postavite na armaturno ploščo.

This time, Coastal Cleanup will be a little different. If you're interested, read on.
Coastal Cleanup is back again on the 3rd Saturday in September. The season takes its toll and at the end, various organizations gather all over the world to clean up the coast from trash. This time, we gather at the coordinates, write in the diary, equip ourselves and go into action. There are two special features of this event. The first is the inventory of trash: every year we list all the trash and compare the results with previous years. The second is that the cleaning event will participate in the sea and on land.
Organization of work:
- Land team: those who collect trash on the coast will be divided into two groups (if there are enough participants): one group will go from the Piran Church towards Fiesa, and second group will go from Fiesa towards the Piran Church. We meet somewhere in the middle and return to the starting point.
- Snorkel team: those, who will collect trash in the sea, must bring a snorkel, swimsuits and fins. Then they go into the sea and collect trash from the bottom. IMPORTANT: you only collect trash as deep as you can reach by holding your breath. Testing your skills because of trash is not worth the risk.
- We will all gather at the starting point with the loot no later than 11:00 am.
After the action, there will be an afterparty in Strunjan, where everyone, who will participate in the action, will make friends, have a snack and learn something new.
BUT... THAT'S NOT ALL!!!
This time, the Clean Coast will be part of the global geocaching project "CITO Across the World".
I can already hear the questions:
"What is this?"
"What's the point?"
"Who's idea is this?"
"You realy have to be smart again, so that we have to read extra, when all we want to do is clean up?"
...
A quick info about this idea: about two years ago, georeyna (a geocacher from Houston) asked the question: "What if geocachers will get together one day and made Texas cleaner?" A fairly simple question, based on which the "Texas Geocaching Association (TXGA)" announced the event "CITO across Texas" on "World Cleanup Day".
Results between 2024 and 2025:
- Over 50 CITO events were organized throughout Texas
- Over 700 volunteers participated
- Over 1000 kg of waste was removed from parks, trails, waterways, neighborhoods and other public areas
So in 2026, they decided to go a step further and invite the geocaching community from all over the world to unite in action "CITO Across the World" on September 19, 2026. And Slovenia will be part of this action with this CITO event.

9:00 - 9:15 gathering, log entry
9:15 - 9:30 instructions, creating groups, taking gloves and bags
9:30 - 11:00 picking up trash
11:00 - return to the gathering point, taking pictures and leaving for Strunjan for the afterparty
We will provide gloves and bags. The snorkel team needs its own mask, swimsuits and flippers. Bring your good mood.
Parking permits will also be available during the event. When you arrive, approach the organizer and tell them you need a permit. Then take it to your car and place it on the dashboard.
