🇫🇷 Le puits des Marettes💧

Bienvenue à l’entrée du Bois des Marettes, où se cache un témoin du patrimoine de Putot-en-Bessin.

Avant l’arrivée de l’eau courante, les puits étaient indispensables à la vie du village. Ils constituaient un lieu de rencontre et permettaient d’alimenter les habitants et les animaux. Celui-ci est l’un des nombreux puits recensés sur la commune et rappelle une époque où chaque goutte d’eau avait de la valeur.

Prenez quelques instants pour lire le panneau et découvrir l’histoire de ce lieu avant de partir à la recherche de la cache.

La cache est une micro-cache contenant uniquement un logbook. Merci de prévoir votre propre stylo.

⚠️ Merci de manipuler la cache avec discrétion afin qu’elle reste invisible aux promeneurs (moldus) et de la replacer exactement au même endroit.

Before running water reached the village, wells were essential to everyday life. They served as gathering places and provided water for both residents and livestock. This well is one of several recorded in the municipality and stands as a reminder of a time when every drop of water was precious.
