On this date in 1870, Hazard Stevens and P. B. Van Trump became the first to climb Mt. Rainier.
So, to commemorate this achievement, let's get together and climb to the summit of this local mountain. After signing the logbook, we'll carefully descend to safer ground at the nearby shelter.
