🌉 Harpers Creek Heritage Cache

Welcome to Harpers Creek!

This cache takes you to the historic Harpers Creek Bridge near Sunbury, a beautiful example of Victoria's early bluestone engineering.

🏛️ A Little History

The bridge dates from 1859 and is recognised in the Victorian Heritage Database. It forms part of a group of significant bluestone road and railway structures around Sunbury dating from the early development of Victoria's transport network.

The bridge is particularly notable for its masonry construction and distinctive arched design. Historic bridges like this one helped connect the growing communities and transport routes around Sunbury during the mid-19th century.
