As we start to enter the Dog Days of Summer and the heat of high Summer starts to fade, we have to head back to school for this months meeting. While schools started back for some in August, traditionally school used to only start after Labor Day as many of us remember staying up watching the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon as the curtain came down on our summer vacations. This year we will celebrate heading back to school at Don Carter State Park and spend the afternoon with the GGA.having fun.
We know it is still hot in Georgia during September, so nothing too strenuous is planned. We will enjoy the shade (and as long as the water level comes back up, possibily enjoy the beach area) instead and play a game or two. We will see who is properly prepared for Geocaching School so make sure to bring your caching bag with you!
We would love to hear about any geocaching adventures you have been on also and help you celebrate any milestones.
Remember there is a daily fee to enter the State Park if you do not have an annual pass.
