Pocomoke River State Park: Shad Landing

Join us for the Maryland Geocaching Society’s annual Fall Picnic in Snow Hill, Maryland! Everyone who has an interest in geocaching is invited to come and join in the fun. You need not be a member of the MGS to attend. Whether you have 10 or 100,000 finds, this event is for you! New to the game? New to the area? Visiting from out of town? Please drop in and introduce yourself – we’d love to meet you!
We have partnered with the Pocomoke River State Park to bring our annual event to the Eastern Shore of Maryland for this year. The picnic will be held in the Manokin Pavilion at this beautiful park. This is a wonderful park to visit for the day or camp overnight. There is no fee to enter the park. Camping is available for a fee. Our tentative schedule for Saturday:
- 9:00-10:30 CITO and Park Service
- 10:30am -11:00am Grill fired up and picnic set up
- 11:00am–2:00 pm: Eating, caching, eating, 50/50, socializing, eating
- 2:00 pm: Group Photo
- 2:00 pm: 50/50 Raffle Winner announced
- 2:15–3:30 pm: Annual Corn Hole Tournament
- 3:30 pm: Clean-up
Please bring your favorite potluck dish to share. Post a ‘Will Attend’ log if you are planning to come, and please use the sign up to tell us what potluck item you are bringing here: Fall Picnic Food List. The event will be held rain or shine. We hope to see you there!
