Geocache Description:


Die heute aktive und für Gottesdienste geöffnete Kirche des Ortes Reschen ist die Pfarrkirche St. Sebastian, die am nördlichen Ortsrand (in Richtung der österreichischen Grenze) liegt. Um dieses Gotteshaus herum erstreckt sich der historische Ortskern, der lokal als „Altdorf“ bekannt ist. Auch wenn sie weniger bekannt ist als der versunkene Kirchturm, beherbergt die Kirche St. Sebastian bedeutende historische und künstlerische Schätze des Tals: den Kreuzweg, geschaffen 1960 von dem bekannten Südtiroler Maler J. B. Oberkofler; die Pietà, ein wertvolles Gemälde aus dem 17. Jahrhundert; das Fenster der Taufkapelle, gestaltet von dem Innsbrucker Künstler Max Spielmann; sowie die Orgel, ein hochwertiges, modernes Pfeifeninstrument der Schweizer Firma Felsberg aus Chur.



La chiesa del paese di Resia oggi attiva e aperta al culto è la Chiesa parrocchiale di San Sebastiano, situata all'estremità nord dell'abitato (in direzione del confine austriaco).Intorno a questo edificio sacro si sviluppa il nucleo storico del paese, noto localmente come Altdorf.
Sebbene meno famosa del campanile sommerso, la Chiesa di San Sebastiano custodisce importanti elementi storici e artistici della valle:La Via Crucis: Realizzata nel 1960 dal noto pittore altoatesino J.B.
