A geocache placed near Tod Lake on Tod Mountain, accessed by trails from the Sun Peaks Resort. From mid-station it is a minimum of 2.75 km along the Gil's Trail to the lake, or longer by other trails. It is a scenic spot, best done in June to September when the lifts are open for hikers. It would be difficult to do this cache in winter, mostly because of the location and it would be under the snow pack.
There was a geocache here before placed by the owner. This time it is in a different place and geocachers may want to use some stealth if there are other people nearby, so that the cache can stay hidden.
It is a beautiful hike, well worth the effort.
