Wandsbeker Zollstraße Die Wandsbeker Zollstraße verlängert die Wandsbeker Marktstraße und mündet auf Höhe des Eichtalparks in die Ahrensburger Straße. Der Name der Straße erinnert an die ehemalige Zollgrenze zwischen der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg und dem damals eigenständigen Wandsbek, das zunächst dänisch und ab 1866 preußisch war. Mit Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts wandelte sich Wandsbek vom ländlichen Gutsdorf zum florierenden Fabrikort. Dabei entwickelte sich die Wandsbeker Zollstraße zu einer wichtigen Wirtschaftsachse. Aufgrund der verkehrsgünstigen Lage und der Nähe zur Wandse ließen sich hier bedeutende Großbetriebe nieder. Zu den bekanntesten zählten die Rauchtabakfabrik von Wagner & Andresen (um 1900) und die weit über die Grenzen hinaus bekannte „Helbings Fabrik“ (eine große Spirituosen- und Hefe-Dynastie). Auch Fabrikationsstätten für Süßwaren prägten das Straßenbild der Zollstraße nachhaltig.

Die Umgebung In der unmittelbaren Umgebung befinden sich drei Restaurants und ein Hotel. Hier ist mit vielen Muggeln zu rechnen. Parkmöglichkeiten sowie Haltestellen der Buslinien 8, 9, 116 und 608 sind ebenfalls in der Nähe vorhanden.

Wandsbeker Zollstraße Wandsbeker Zollstraße extends the Wandsbeker Marktstraße and ends at the Eichtalpark, where it joins the Ahrensburger Straße. The name of the street commemorates the former customs border between the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the then independent Wandsbek, which was initially Danish and then Prussian from 1866. With the beginning of the 19th century, century, Wandsbek transformed from a rural village into a thriving industrial town. In this process, the Wandsbeker Zollstraße developed into an important economic artery. Due to its favourable location and proximity to the Wandse, significant large-scale enterprises established themselves here. The most notable of these were the Wagner & Andresen tobacco factory (around 1900) and the well-known "Helbing's Factory" (a large spirits and yeast dynasty). The streetscape of Zollstraße was also shaped by factories producing confectionery.

The surrounding area There are three restaurants and a hotel in the immediate vicinity. There are likely to be many Muggles here. There are also parking spaces and bus stops for lines 8, 9, 116 and 608 nearby.
