Geocache Description:

Penmachno is a historic, rural village in the Machno Valley near Betws-y-Coed, North Wales, known for its deep cultural roots, medieval significance, and 19th-century slate industry. It is most notably the birthplace of Bishop William Morgan, who translated the Bible into Welsh. The village developed as a bustling slate quarrying community and was a stronghold of Nonconformist tradition before transforming into a quiet residential and tourist area.
