CacheFest Kingaroy – Saturday Night Dinner
After some extensive onsite research involving many visits to pubs and clubs, then the difficult task of sampling the wares, we were left with the very difficult choice of deciding where a large group of geocachers could gather for a good night of food, drinks and plenty of caching talk. We are proud to announce that the Saturday Night Dinner, and the only dinner event planned for the CacheFest weekend, will be held at the Commercial Hotel Kingaroy!
After a big day of caching, there should be plenty to talk about. Whether it was the cache that took far too long, the one that had everyone scratching their heads, the one with the wrong coordinates lol or simply a great spot you visited, this will be the place to sit back and share your stories.
The Commercial Hotel has kindly put aside their dining room, The Nest, for our group to gather in. If we manage to overflow the nest, there is also an awesome sitting area right next door, so we have room to spread out. We may even get some live music for the night.
There is no set menu for the evening. Simply order from the regular pub menu, which caters for the majority of tastes and appetites. You are also more than welcome to attend without purchasing food or drinks, the important part is coming along and joining in. A logbook will be available for the event, so don't forget to sign in.
So, after a huge day of caching, pull up a chair, grab a meal if you like, catch up with friends, meet a few new people and settle in for a night of caching stories, laughs and the usual geocaching banter.
