Lø herreds tingsted lå fra gammel tid og indtil 1851 øst for Bredebro, hvor vejen Galgemark i dag går forbi. I 1527 benævnes stedet som Gallyborg og i 1683 som Galle Heede.
Retterstedet lå på en udjævnet oldtidshøj, og på stedet er der fundet både trærester og skeletknogler, senest i forbindelse med en udgravning i 1974.
Nogle drenge og deres far lavede en udgravning. De brugte traktor med dozerblad, hvor de trak små lag af jorden, indtil de kom frem til et skelet. Den ene af drengene er faktisk den nuværende lodsejer af cachens placering.

From old times until 1851, the Lø district thingstead was located east of Bredebro, where the road Galgemark passes today. In 1527 the place was referred to as Gallyborg and in 1683 as Galle Heede.
The execution site was located on a leveled ancient mound, and both wooden remains and skeletal bones have been found at the site, most recently in connection with an excavation in 1974.
Some boys and their father did an excavation. They used a tractor with a dozer blade, where they pulled small layers of soil until they came to a skeleton. One of the boys is actually the current landowner of the cache location.
