CITO - TIME TO CLEAN UP
Let's get together and clean up by the river at this beautiful park. It is also World Clean Up Day weekend - the official date is 20th September but any day of the weekend also counts.
Date: Saturday, 19 September 2026
Time: 11:30am to 12:30pm
Venue: Field and Study Centre, end of 14th Street, Parkmore
Bring: Gloves, your own water bottle, a pointy stick or old braai tongs - they are great for picking up litter that is difficult to reach. It may be a good idea to bring gum boots or wellington boots, as you may need to wade in water.
Dustbin bags will be supplied!
Park your car near to the listed co-ordinates and make your way straight down to the river. You'll see a jungle gym on your left-hand side. There are functional toilets in the building on your left, close to where the parking is. Maybe just pack in some tissues, as there isn't always loo paper around.
I will need to dash to cubs straight after the event but you're welcome to hang around and enjoy what this beautiful park has to offer!
- See you there! -
