Geocache Description:

There are 28 communities in the United States named Ashland. This isn't counting Clay, Kentucky which was founded as Ashland and the site of Henry Clay's estate, which inspired the name to spread across the nation. It also isn't counting Ashland Township or Junction, of which there are a few.

Of those 28, most are small towns in rural America. Alphabetically, Ashland, CA comes just after Ashland, AL. That Ashland is the Clay County seat, formed shortly after the Civil War on land donated by my fifth-great uncle, Hollingsworth Watts (1824-1885). Hollingsworth was his mother's maiden name: I suppose his parents were born in South Carolina and settled in Alabama a decade before the Trail of Tears. Which is pretty abnormal for a white family, unless of course they are somehow related to John Watts (Young Tassel), a powerful mixed-race Cherokee chief who lived a two-days journey by foot to the north.

When I saw there was an Ashland, CA I knew I had to hide a cache here. The Community Center is only open during the daytime, so please no night caching at stage one. The posted coordinates will take you to the side of the building, near an open black fence. There should be some meters on the wall, with several signs. Look for a red sign and fill in the blank: "WARNING: _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ POWER _ _ _ _ _" So, type those two words with no spaces here-

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

The final is a very short drive away, it is also walkable.
