This is the fifth cache in an ongoing series which focuses on the current locations of some of the forgotten Drive-Ins around the Niagara Region.
Located at 9000 Sodom Road in Chippewa, the Starlite Drive-In opened on May 7, 1948, featuring the Ronald Reagan film, “Stallion Road”.
Upon it's opening, it was billed as, "Canada's Most Modern Drive-In Theatre.
Unfortunately, it only lasted for 14 years and it closed on September 3, 1962 and was later replaced with the Chippawa Willoughby Memorial Arena.
It was operated by Famous Players in its later years.
Have fun and happy caching!
