ZOB trail (Zminec, Ožbolt, Bodovlje) je dolga krožna pot za vse, ki imate radi hojo, naravo, lepe razglede in seveda geolov. Trail se začne v vasi Zminec in vas po gozdnih poteh, stezah ter razglednih planjavah popelje čez zanimiv košček severnega dela Polhograjskega hribovja.
Začetek je namenjen ogrevanju nog. Do kapele sv. Bernarda na Svetega Petra Hribu (676 m n. v.) se boste podali po gozdnih poteh in stezah, pri čemer vas na nekaterih odsekih čaka kar konkreten vzpon. Naj vas začetni »test kondicije« ne prestraši – ko ga premagate, postane pot precej prijaznejša, saj se krajši vzponi in spusti prijetno izmenjujejo.
Od lovske koče v Zavrhu, kjer se vam odpre lep pogled proti Sv. Ožboltu in Tošču, se vzpnete do najvišje točke traila – vrha Polhovca (948 m n. v.). Naprej proti Črnemu vrhu vas spremljajo lepi razgledi na Poljansko dolino in Škofjeloško hribovje z njegovim najvišjim vrhom, Blegošem.
Od tam preko Prosenovega griča nadaljujete po desnem grebenu Bodoveljske grape proti cerkvi sv. Ožbolta (859 m n. v.). Tu vas čaka eden od najlepših razgledov na tej poti. Odpre se vam čudovit razgled na Polhograjsko in Škofjeloško hribovje, Karavanke ter Kamniško-Savinjske Alpe. Pot se nato spusti do cerkve sv. Andreja (616 m n. v.), kjer boste ponovno deležni čudovite razglednice. Od tam pa le še navzdol proti Bodovljam, kjer se ZOB trail tudi konča.
Ker je trail precej dolg, poskrbite, da boste imeli v nahrbtniku dovolj pijače in malico, telefon oziroma GPS-napravo pa pred odhodom napolnite do konca.
Vsebniki so v bližini poti in niso pretirano skriti, zato z iskanjem ne komplicirajte preveč. Raje uživajte v pohodu, raziskovanju okolice in vseh lepih kotičkih, ki jih ponuja ta trail.

The ZOB Trail (Zminec, Ožbolt, Bodovlje) is a long circular trail for everyone who enjoys hiking, nature, beautiful views and, of course, geocaching. Starting in the village of Zminec, the trail takes you along forest roads, woodland paths and scenic open ridges, exploring an interesting part of the northern Polhograjsko hribovje.
The first part is all about warming up your legs. You’ll follow forest roads and trails to the Chapel of St. Bernard on Sveti Peter Hill (676 m above sea level), with some fairly demanding climbs along the way. Don’t let this initial “fitness test” put you off – once you’ve conquered it, the trail becomes much more forgiving, with shorter ascents and descents pleasantly alternating along the way.
From the hunting lodge in Zavrh, where you’ll enjoy lovely views towards Sv. Ožbolt and Tošč, you’ll climb to the highest point of the trail – the summit of Polhovec (948 m above sea level). As you continue towards Črni Vrh, you’ll be treated to beautiful views of the Poljane Valley and the Škofja Loka Hills, crowned by their highest peak, Blegoš.
From there, via Prosenov Grič, you’ll continue along the right-hand ridge of the Bodovlje Gorge towards the Church of St. Oswald (Sv. Ožbolt, 859 m above sea level). One of the most spectacular viewpoints on the trail awaits you here. The breathtaking panorama stretches across the Polhov Gradec and Škofja Loka Hills, the Karawanks and the Kamnik–Savinja Alps.
The trail then descends to the Church of St. Andrew (616 m above sea level), where another picture-perfect view awaits.
From there, it’s all downhill towards Bodovlje, where the ZOB Trail comes to an end.
As this is quite a long trail, make sure you pack enough water and snacks in your backpack. Don’t forget to fully charge your phone or GPS device before setting off.
The geocaches are located close to the trail and aren’t particularly well hidden, so there’s no need to overcomplicate the search. Instead, enjoy the hike, explore your surroundings and take in all the beautiful spots this trail has to offer.
