Everyone has a hero. Maybe you are one.
What makes someone a hero? Is it courage? Kindness? Helping someone when they need it? Going above and beyond?
Or simply being the person who shows up when it matters?
A hero doesn't have to wear a cape, save the world or have their name written in a history book. Sometimes a hero is a parent, a friend, a teacher, a volunteer, a stranger who stopped to help, or that one person who always seems to have a spare pen when everyone else has forgotten theirs! 😁
And perhaps, just for a day, we can all be heroes.
So let's celebrate the heroes in our lives, both the big and the everyday ones, and spend some time together doing what geocachers do best: getting outdoors, sharing stories, meeting friends, and enjoying a good old-fashioned gathering in the bush.

🌲 Fresh air and forest surrounds
🧭 Geocachers and/or heroes welcome any time between 1pm and 2:30pm
🦸 Capes entirely optional!
Bring along your favourite hero story, a tale of someone who has made a difference in your life, or simply come along to catch up with fellow cachers. Because sometimes the greatest heroes aren't the ones who save the world... They're the ones who make someone else's little corner of it a better place. 💜
In the US, National Hero Day is celebrated on October 8, but here in Australia, there's no dedicated date to celebrate the people who make a difference. Join me on October 18, at the picnic tables, as we celebrate the everyday heroes who inspire us, support us, and make our communities a better place.
We could be heroes... just for one day. 🎶🦸
Everyone is welcome.
PLEASE NOTE ... Dogs are most welcome but they must be on leash and under effective control.
