Olymbos
The picturesque village of Olymbos is built in an amphitheater-like layout at the foot of Mount Prophet Elias, 250 meters above sea level. Its colorful, richly decorated houses, narrow alleys, and flower-adorned balconies are giving beautiful photo opportunities.
In Olymbos every family seems to have its own windmill and its own church. Traditional baking ovens also shape the village's appearance. There are still around 75 windmills in Olymbos; some are in excellent condition and fully operational, while the non-functional ones are simply magnificent to look at and perfect for photography. Don’t miss the sunset.
