On this day in 1957, at 10:45 PM, two air traffic controllers in the tower at Kirtland AFB near Albuquerque claimed to observe a white light traveling eastwards across the airfield. A brief radar contact was confirmed before the men saw a dark object descend steeply into a pint of your favorite cold beverage. Or something...
