Geocache Description:

Located on Mount Mesnard South of Marquette, Michigan. Entry to the site is from US 41 South Just before the bridge over the Carp River. Winter you will have to use a snowmobile or an all wheel drive car or SUV. Summer most any vehical will do. I walked almost 9/10 of a mile to place the cache. You may have a bit of a search on your hands with this cache. Please recove as good if not better than you find it, this is a very popular place!

Cache container is a camouflaged 1.5 quart plastic jar with scew on cap. We replaced the container on May 23rd, 2003 with a one gallon camouflaged plastic jar..... See note below... Iron Bay was given it's name as the overlook has a full view of Iron Bay or Marquette's Lower Harbor. Starting contents are: Tupperware Pen, Sacagawea gold dollar, Two crystal dolphins, 3 balloons, 97.7 Wolf window sticker, 2 marbles, $10 dollar quarter roll (empty), 2 round braclet dangles, Suction Cup, Blank Holiday name badge and a sticky strip of Velcro
