This is a park that most people do not know exists. I have lived three miles from it for 26 years and I went to it for the first time last year. The park has a nice trail that goes all the way around the lake.
Fishing is free if you have a state license, there is a posted catch limit on the signs as you enter the park and there is always someone fishing along the banks of the lake so I would think that the fishing is good. Unfortunately there is a lot of trash that washes into the lake. The park and most of the trails are maintained by the local boy scouts and they really have their hands full, you are welcome to take some of the trash out with you, but I will warn you that you will need a large Hefty bag.
This area is a nice surprise because it is located so close to a bustling area. When I was there doing recon I saw two large doe just after sunset.
You only have to take a small part of the trail to reach the cache.
