Hopper steals the cache!
Hopper (the evil grasshopper from Bug's Life) has stolen the cache that we originally placed on Grasshopper Island (this is the island's real name folks). He was in the midst of transporting the cache to his remote island on Rotten Lake (north of Norwood, along hwy 40), when he was attacked by a large bird from a nearby Grasshopper Alert Base (G.A.B.). Hopper and Molt (his second in command) had been enroute for merely 33.33 minutes when they were dive bombed from above by an African sparrow. Instead of taking a safer (but longer) route, Hopper had decided to hop (at 2.5 metres per second) directly to his destination on Rotten Lake. Big mistake...
Hopper Attacked!
Molt, Hopper's second in command, stated to the press that he was flying directly behind Hopper on a course of 017 degrees True North when they were attacked from above by a mad diving sparrow.
Molt also stated that, "The sparrow hit Hopper hard and the cache plummetted straight down to the ground. Then the @#$%!* bird shook Hopper like a doll and dropped him too."
Hopper was last seen hopping erratically around the area. If you see him, please do not approach him as he is suspected to be armed and dangerous. Call the authorities immediately.

The cache is hidden out of sight. There is way to get it without destroying its protective cover/camouflage. Please be VERY careful to leave it exactly as you found it. We wouldn't want the cache to go missing in action. Thank you.

NOTES:
- Due to the variance in long distance waypoint projection among GPS units and the inability to input decimal degrees or mils on some we’ve posted the last 2 digits of the co-ordinates of the cache itself in hddd mm.mmm format. A waypoint projection on most GPSr units in degrees will get you in the "ballpark" and then you can substitute the last two digits for the exact co-ordinates.
They are: hddd°mm.m98' hddd°mm.m31'
- Very winter friendly.
- Geocache is in a good sized plastic ice cream container (yes, it will fit a CD). Camouflaged of course.
- Bonus bushwhacker points for those that tackle this one in the spring. Pack proper footwear. Area may get a little wet after the snow melts.
Boooo!! This really isn't very difficult...in the winter that is!! We can pretty much guarantee you there will be no cache maintenance after the snow melts.
