Geocache Description:

Off of the beaten path, plastic pill bottle just out of sight. Think rusty.

Even though I now live 1700 miles from here, I used to flyfish these parts regularly - two or three times a week before work if the steelhead were running. I also tie my own flies, so this cache started out with a theme... It was loaded with hand-tied flies. I'm sure these days it's probably just a log and little else, but hey, it's been here for more than fifteen years!

In October of 2024 the cache owner transferred ownership of this hide to Chickadee Girl who lives about 5 miles away and can do maintenance on this long-lived cache placement. Note the Geocaching.com low number for this hide - notice the date this spot was chosen - January 2003. It would be be a shame to lose one of the grandfathers of the Rogue Valley caches still out there. Container shape and contents very different now, but you'll need your pen, of course.
