Mercator Madness Traditional Cache
Quasar: I've been there and confirmed it's gone. There's a pile of sticks that people were obviously using to hide it, the stump that it should be in was sadly empty. Almost 10 years is a good innings for a cache but I'm sad to see it go. Stay tuned for a replacement map-based cache, but it won't be here because there are now plenty of other caches in the 100 acres. Thanks to all who found Mercator Madness.

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
A cache stacked full of maps of all shapes and sizes, in the serenity of a little known pocket of bush in the outer suburbs.
This is a map themed cache. Initial contents are about 40 paper maps and some electronic maps on CD-ROMs. Please swap only maps into the cache. The definition of a map is quite broad, and includes traditional paper maps, atlases and street directories, electronic raster or vector maps, there is even a star map in the cache! So use your imagination.
The location is in an area of unspoilt bushland in the outer eastern suburbs. You can park within 150m of the cache, but for a leisurly walk through the reserve, I suggest parking at:
S 37 deg 46.702
E 145 deg 13.506
There is an info display there, with a funky 3D map of the reserve, and some history about the area.
The cache itself is about 20m off a major trail through the park, in a natural hiding spot. The container is a 10L storage container with a yellow lid. Please leave it well hidden.
