THE HUNGOVER CACHE
Consider this a log-book cache. But foreign coins and small lapel pins (under 0.75 inces on every side) will fit. Nothing else please. TNLN is just great for this one.
This is a small cache with an opening 1.5 inches in diameter and 4.75 inches deep. It was a spice bottle in another life. It is painted to blend in with the environment. PLEASE, VERY SMALL ITEMS.
LOG is a sheet of paper with room for the date, your geoname (gnome??), and a brief comment.
The site is at the Falls Recreation Area, an old and in need of repair Civil Conservation Corps
project. It build the dam to impound Six Mile Creek which forms Issaqueena Lake.
During the colder months you have to park at the gate (LAT: N 34.44.442 LONG: W 082.52.094) and hike or bike (.40 corvine miles) down the W. Dam Road. In the warmer months you can drive very close to the hide. Bring the family. There is a picnic area at the end of the road. But be aware, a 30 foot high dam is at this site. At the base of the dam is Lake Hartwell. The site is accessible by boat from Lake Hartwell.
It was difficult to get consistent coordinates at the site. Signal strength was weak. LAT range:
44.148-44.164, LONG range: 51.921-51.941.
