Skeninge is an older name for the little town
nowadays known as Skänninge.

The town, situated beside the small river Skenaån, is one of
Sweden's oldest towns and is known since 1187. In the 13th and 14th
centuries it was also one of the most important towns in our
country. Since then its importance has diminished and nowadays it's
not even a "kommun" of its own.
The position above is at the center of the town square. Try to
park your car there. The town hall, "rådhuset", is in front of the
church. Read the sign over the door. When was it built ?
Go to N58 23.732 E15 04.XXX where
XXX is the year from the sign - 794. At this position you will find
a statue of a famous son of the town, the composer A F Lindblad.
From his biography one can learn that he was an orphan, showed
little interest for school work and neglected his work as a clerk.
This didn't stop him becoming a wellknown composer who wrote the
music to poems by Runeberg, Topelius, Atterbom and others. At what
age did he pass away ?
Go to N58 23.YY0 E15 04.971 where YY is Lindblad's age -2. At
this final position you will find the cache, a 35mm film canister.
It is hidden in such a way it can be found all year around.
