Geocache Description:

Cache is an ammo box located just off the Bear Swamp Nordic Ski Trail (Red 1 Trail) filled with the usual "goodies".

This ski trail is located on two state forests of 3,316 acres in Cayuga County. The ski trail system, over 13 miles in length, was developed with volunteer help in the 1980's.
There are maps of all 3 ski trails available in a box at the trailhead (see pic). The entry point for the Red Trail is just off Route 41A and Harnett Road. This parking lot gives access to the west loop of the trail, with a warm-up short loop of 1.6 miles. The complete loop is just under 3 miles. Cache is in about .3 mile from trailhead (as the crow flies.)
