Christmas Cache Traditional Cache
TheRetrievers: This was a great cache location with tons of positive feedback. However, even though relocating it to avoid mugglers, it has gone missing again and is too much trouble to keep active. For all who were able to log this cache-- CONGRATULATIONS!

Ride the Estes Park Aerial Tramway then hike .3 miles up the road towards the top of Prospect Mountain.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE replace cache where you found it. Cache location has been moved as of 8/25/05 to a muggler-free zone. The coords are right on!! If you've been here before don't look in the same old place!!
Cache is a Wheaties tin. Tramway is open only from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Alternate approaches from Labor Day to Memorial Day require a hike of 1.3 miles with elevation gains of 550 to 700 feet. Two alternate accesses are off Peak View Drive. Preferred alternate access used year round by hikers, mountain bikers, and horse back riders: Park at end of Curry Drive at gate located at N 40 21.451 W 105 30.896 for a 550' elevation gain and follow the well traveled road past the top of the tram. Second alternate access: Park at gate at the end of Prospect Mountain Road located at N 40 21.706 W 105 30.763 for a 700 foot gain and a less used trail to reach the road to the top of the tram.
Be sure to log your visit in the log book located in a plastic zip lock bag with a pen and pencil.
July 17, 2004 Owner Maintenance and Update--
Replaced cache in original location. Cleaned up trash and removed remains of cardboard box and dead animal.
June 12, 2005 Owner Maintenance and Update--
Original log book was full so replaced it with a new log book with lots of room for logging your find.
August 26, 2005 Cache location moved because of mugglers. Enjoy the new cache location.
August 30, 2006 Attributes Added and apply ONLY when accessing cache via the Estes Park Aerial Tramway.
