The coordinates above are for the waypoint, which will have directions to the nearby cache site.
Entrance to Friendship Park is just west of Western Ave. on 9th St. Park at the top (to the right) and visit the nature center in the building. Take the blacktop road/trail from the north side of the parking lot.
It is somewhat steep, but you can walk almost all of the way to the waypoint on the road/trail, and gravel and dirt trails.
I named the cache for the "eternal spring" which remained wet late last year even after no rain for 8 months. It helps sustain the little animals, including lots of lizards and snakes. Yes, I have seen rattlesnakes, but the biggest dangers here are probably dogs off leashes and twisting your ankle in a gopher hole. Your feet might get wet around the cache site. Be careful around the long thin leaves--they can cut you. Ticks may be present.
Cache container is a small box, WELL CAMOUFLAGED.
