Throughout the Caribbean, sugar mills - large, tapering circular structures robustly constructed of stone - proudly stand as relics of a time gone by. Mt. Healthy is the only remaining sugar mill in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and is therefore of significant historic importance. Mt. Healthy was declared a National Park in 1983 and is sited on 0.90 acres. It is a well-preserved example of the type of mill that was used in the BVI in the 18th century.
Pick up a Mt. Healthy information brochure from a tourist information office or a hotel/inn. You will definitely need a vehicle to get you to the site; 4WD is not strictly necessary but is probably a good idea, especially if there has been any recent rain.
At the park is a sign giving historical information about the site. There are nine sections in the text on the sign. In order to log this cache, send an e-mail to WascoZooKeeper listing the TITLES of the nine sections. You do not need to wait for a response before logging the cache.
